I would like to share another secret to help you date more men! Be an awesome wingman for your friends.
A great way to meet new people at a social setting or party is to bring a wingman. How can you be an awesome wingman? Here are tips to meeting more men and being an awesome wingman for your friend.
Step 1 – Go to a party
Go to a party or a bar with a friend, and take turns introducing yourselves to new people.
Example:
My friend Helena used to be my wingman all the time. She would walk up to a guy and say, “I have someone really amazing for you to meet. This is my friend Emily. She is getting her master’s at Berkeley. [Wink, wink.] And she loves long walks in the park. What do you do for fun?”
Be Playful and Silly
Say something serious and something funny about your friend, but don’t try to embarrass your friends. Remember, you are a wingman!
End with a Conversation Starter
Examples of conversational starters:
- Got any fun vacation plans this summer?
- What made you smile today?
- Would you describe yourself as serious or playful?
- What are three adjectives that describe your personality?
- When was the last time you laughed? What happened?

Warning – Don’t do that if you want to have a date after all (Emily – I don’t understand the context of this warning. What is it warning against?)
Do not ask what he does for work. This is boring and if he hates his job, it’s a buzzkill. Keep it light and fun.
Final Note
The wingman approach really takes the pressure off a guy. Most men will laugh and be amazed you approached them in this manner. For even better results, stare at the guys first and make eye contact before approaching.
Again, not everyone will want to play along. If a guy does not look like he is enjoying the conversation, don’t worry and move along. Remember that dating is a numbers game, and the more men you attempt to meet increases the number of people you will actually meet (and date!).
